Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the Pictura API service. By using our Service, you agree to comply with this policy. Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.
1. Permitted Use
You may use Pictura API for any lawful purpose, including but not limited to:
- Building applications that leverage AI models for text generation, image generation, and other supported capabilities
- Integrating AI capabilities into your products and services
- Research and development
- Educational purposes
- Personal projects and experimentation
- Commercial applications that comply with all applicable laws and these policies
2. Prohibited Content
You may not use the Service to generate, process, or distribute the following types of content:
Illegal Content
- Content that violates any applicable local, state, national, or international law
- Content that facilitates or promotes illegal activities
- Content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others
Harmful Content
- Content designed to harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate individuals
- Content that promotes violence, self-harm, or harm to others
- Content that promotes discrimination or hatred based on race, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
- Disinformation or deliberately misleading content designed to cause harm
Child Safety
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind is strictly prohibited and will be reported to authorities
- Content that sexualizes minors in any way
- Content that exploits or endangers children
Malware and Fraud
- Generating malicious code, malware, ransomware, or exploit code
- Creating phishing content, social engineering templates, or fraudulent communications
- Content designed to deceive or defraud individuals or organizations
Spam
- Mass-generating unsolicited commercial messages
- Creating content for spam campaigns or automated manipulation of platforms
- Generating fake reviews, testimonials, or social media engagement
3. Prohibited Activities
Service Abuse
- Attempting to bypass rate limits, authentication, or other security measures
- Using automated systems to create multiple accounts
- Exploiting vulnerabilities in the Service infrastructure
- Interfering with the Service's availability or performance for other users
- Credential stuffing, brute force attacks, or other unauthorized access attempts
Reverse Engineering
- Attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying models or algorithms
- Scraping model weights or attempting to replicate the Service's functionality through systematic querying
- Using the Service to train competing AI models (model distillation) without explicit written permission
Reselling
- Reselling API access or credits without written authorization from Pictura API
- Creating wrapper services that do not add substantial value beyond direct API access
- Misrepresenting the source of AI-generated content as originating from your own models
4. Rate Limits and Fair Use
To ensure the quality and availability of the Service for all users:
- We enforce rate limits on API requests. Specific limits may vary by account tier and are communicated through API response headers
- Sustained high-volume usage patterns should be discussed with our team in advance
- We reserve the right to throttle requests that negatively impact service quality
- Intentional circumvention of rate limits (e.g., distributing requests across multiple accounts) is prohibited
5. Enforcement
We take violations of this policy seriously. Our enforcement actions may include:
- Warning: For first-time, minor violations, we may issue a warning with guidance on compliance
- Temporary suspension: Accounts may be temporarily suspended while violations are investigated
- Permanent termination: Severe or repeated violations will result in permanent account termination
- Legal action: We reserve the right to pursue legal remedies for violations that cause harm to us, our users, or third parties
- Law enforcement referral: Illegal activities, particularly those involving child safety, will be reported to appropriate authorities
We may investigate potential violations using automated and manual review processes. Decisions regarding enforcement are made at our sole discretion.
6. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this Acceptable Use Policy, please report it immediately:

- Include as much detail as possible, including relevant API keys (redacted), timestamps, and descriptions of the violation
We will investigate all reports promptly and take appropriate action. Reports are treated confidentially. We will not retaliate against good-faith reporters.
